Abidjan, Ivory Coast .July 25, 2000.Police paretroops join civilians who are supporter of Laurent Gbagbo and have been protesting the result of presidential election in front of Mr. Gbagbo's residence in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. General Guei, who proclaimed his victory of the rigged election, survived only a day as a president. Laurent Gbagbo supported by people and police announced his presidency today (Oct.25).
