Nairobi, Kenya.1999.Mary Wambui, 47, was walking near the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi when the bomb exploded. The force of the explosion knocked her to the ground. She suffers from headaches and dizziness as well as psychological problems. Her eyesight was also severely impaired. She lives in a cardboard house in a slum in Nairobi. The U.S. government is supposed to cover all her medical fees, but Wambui cannot afford bus fare to reach the hospital..©Toru Morimoto
