Businessmen arriving at Hinokinai river to eat lunch under the cherry blossom trees. Doing "Hanami", which means meeting with friends under blossomed trees to eat, sign, enjoy sakura. Kakunodate is well known for its samurai neighborhood and for being one of the best spots to see cherry blossom in spring in Tohoku region.
