Women cooking fish by the fire in a restaurant. Ouchijiku is a post town that has been carefully restored to look like it used to be in the Edo period. It is famous for its long street with thick thatched roof houses, most of them being shops, restaurants or minshukus (family run inns). The village is also famous for its soba noodles and char fish roasted on sticks.
